Our Values

Factories

Barre Trash products must be three things:

1. Ethically Made
2. High Quality
3. Sustainably Priced

That's why we source from factories in California, Vietnam, Nicaragua, and more on a product-by-product basis, making sure we can check every box.

Import

We import by land + sea instead of air, saving up to 95% on emissions.

Fulfillment

Our warehouse employees make more than double the minimum wage; the team responsible for overseeing our shipping operations have unlimited PTO, health care that includes vision and dental, bring-your-dog-to-work, and access to free healthy food + a gym.

Materials

Depending on the product, we use synthetic fibers, natural fibers, or both. When it's net-positive to source organic fibers, we do; when it's ethically safer to use synthetic, we do that. Material sourcing is an ethical minefield, one made much more complicated by constantly-changing tariffs. We are ever-evolving, committed to growing as responsibly as possible.

Giving

We give away 1% of every gross sale. That means if you spend $100 on our site, we take $1 and use it for our community.

So far, that means giving away pointe shoes, sponsoring young choreographers, and more.
